The May Dinner is the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation’s annual black-tie gala that celebrates the life and legacy of President Kennedy and raises critical funds to support the Kennedy Library.

The Centennial May Dinner was held on Sunday, May 7, 2017. 750 guests attended as former President Barack H. Obama accepted the Centennial John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award from Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and her family. President Obama delivered his first formal speech since leaving office. Grammy Award-winner singer-songwriter James Taylor gave a special performance with Kim Taylor and Owen Young. We invite you to view the evening's program.

Through the leadership of Dinner Chair Jeff Immelt, Chairman and CEO of GE, the Kennedy Library Foundation raised a record $5 million dollars. The dinner provides crucial unrestricted financial support to the JFK Library’s programming, which serves hundreds of thousands of adults and children annually. Through free educational experiences, the Kennedy Library Forums series, the JFK Library's digital archives, and arts and cultural programming, the Kennedy Library perpetuates President Kennedy's legacy to new and growing audiences each year.
